Finally its here, the NFC sticker that I’ve been waiting for.
My Samsung Galaxy S3 is NFC ready but there isn’t much use at the moment. So I bought the sticker for my own experiment. It’s not really expensive and it can be programmed over and over again.
It bothers me a lot when I want to turn my phone into a personal hotspot. It takes at least 5 touches to get it on. And I hate the process. I did install some widget but it doesn’t work well and ended up draining my phone. NFC sounded cool and could activate hotspot with just a touch, so I got them to try.
NFC sticker can be programmed using Tagstand. You can store your contact details, do specific task, store website url, foursquare check in, call your mom, almost anything that an Android can do. Since I have a few stickers, I programmed one to store my contact details. This saves a lot of time if people want to have my contact details.
I made a video to demonstrate the use and how to program one.
ps: Mannn I’m geeky like that!
