Belajar dari Terbaik: DenaiHati Network

This post is brought to you by Denaihati Network.

So what is this Denaihati Network (DHN)? I asked myself the same thing when I first came across this. The tagline, “Hidupkan Untuk Memberi” left deeper curiosity. DenaiHati.com is a blog, meanwhile Denaihati Network is all the social medias, blog buddies, friends, facebook groups, Keek followers and instagram followers that is connected to DenaiHati blog.

DHN is best known for winning Social Media Week Award in 2011 and 2012 also being generous to other bloggers.

Blog Review

I was tasked by brother Ilham to post a review about Denaihati Blog.

His blog was messier when I visited years ago (I’m on Google Pages so I don’t visit the original blog as often). The new theme looks decent. However there are areas that can be further improved.

1. Sticky post – There’s a repetition of content from sticky post to new post. New post will always be on top, therefore need not be a sticky post. Instead, DH should use sticky post to reignite old posts or ones he wants people to focus.

2. Images on other post – While it is important to keep the blog lightweight, image or photography helps to boost and expand reader’s curiosity. I find that other than sticky post, other post does not have image to represent the content (on front page). This will be a show stopper for some.

3. Real estate – Today’s most common resolution is 1366px x 768px. With this information, coupled with our reading behavior of scanning the entire screen, DH has loads to lose. Upon loading only 2 posts are visible and 4 ads. It can be optimized to 6-7 posts with maybe more than 4 ads. Some of the best examples are Amanz.my, Azmanishak.com, negaraku.my and oren.my

4. Colors – As I scroll down, I can’t help but feel washed away. It was colorful with green, black and white as it’s main theme (much like Green Lantern) but died by time I reach the bottom of the page. This can be fixed by adding pictures and colorize the footer.

DenaiHati Activities

1. Sepetang Bersama Bloggers – I have personally been invited to this event before. We all had our chance to share our opinion and mingle around. It was fun meeting people who shares the same interest.

However reaping the benefit isn’t hard, just as long as you keep your eyes on the prize. Me? I blog for fun, money comes as bonus.

3. Active Facebook Groups – Best place to share your content, learn from experience bloggers and mingle around. Denaihati Facebook Group.

Shave By A Woman

This is the fourth post for the Philips Aqua Touch electronic shave review. In this post I’m supposed to create a video to demonstrate how easy it is to shave using the review unit.

To make it interesting, we are required to get an opposite gender to help us shave. In this case my victim is my wife. It’s her first time helping me shave so I have spare her for any mishap or missed hair. Normally I’d ask her to pluck what I call “bulu sesat”.

Though was a sloppy shave, it does prove 2 points.

1. Shaving using Aqua Touch is easy.
2. Letting someone else shave for you is terrifying. Ain’t easy like the movies.

3 Biggest Tips of Using Electric Shaver

This is the 3rd post of the 5 review of the Aqua Touch. I’ve been tasked to do this with 9 other awesome bloggers.

3 Biggest Tips of Using Electric Shaver 3

There are many tools used to shape facial hair and before you can read any further take a look at the guide to the best beard trimmer in 2019. The common tools I use is the normal razor blade, small scissor, small comb and electric shaver. However, for the sake of travelling light, I decided to dump others except the Phillips AT940. You can visit Instash and compare the various shavers out there in the market and choose one as per your requirement.

My facial hair style is the goatee. No moustache. Short side burn.

There are 3 tips that I feel is worth sharing.

  • #1 – Use a Comb to Help Trim

I love an electric shaver that comes with a trimmer. It’s a nifty tool that is a lot safer than scissors. There was a couple of incidents where I literally cut my flesh out. Since then I used a trimmer.

3 Biggest Tips of Using Electric Shaver 4

My way of limiting my trim is using a comb. I comb my beard downwards, making sure it’s uniformed, then comb upwards and trim the excessive ones. This ensures my trim is perfectly balanced. The key here is patience. Start small bit by bit.

  • #2 – Up and Downwards Motion

3 Biggest Tips of Using Electric Shaver 5

The manual said “for optimal cut, use circular motion”. I beg to differ. Having 3 circular blades, the ideal pattern to cut hair easily is up and downwards motion which cross intersects blades seamlessly. This also minimize shaving mistakes, especially when doing circular motion. I also use mild soap to maneuver my facial terrain.

  • #3 – Charge when Almost Empty

Like any other rechargable batteries, lithium ion in mobile phones, cameras and other devices, it is advisable to charge when the battery is almost empty. This prolongs the battery life and current capacity. The Philips AT 940 promises 60 minutes of juice but I’m going to risk it. In the country I’m in now, it’s using different plug than ours and I’m not a big fan of lugging chargers around. Let’s just hope it’s still usable for my month trip here.

But in most cases when I’m outstation, I don’t think I need to carry the charger with me. Sixty minutes is indeed very long!

If you feel that I’ve done a good job, vote for me 😉
