Harga Minyak Malaysia Naik

RM 2.70 PER LITER

In today’s News, Datuk Shahrir Abdul Samad announced that the government will increase the price of fuel by August. He also said that they will restructure the subsidy. (Babi penipu!)

KUALA LUMPUR: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi on Wednesday announced price hikes for petrol, diesel and electricity. He said the new price for petrol is RM2.70 a litre, effective midnight tonight. The price goes up by 78sen from the current RM1.92, a hike of 40%. Abdullah also announced that the price of diesel would be increased by RM1 from RM1.58 to RM2.58. He also said that Tenaga Nasional Bhd would be raising electricity rates by 18% for homes and 26% for business users. (the Star)


I wrote before on our petrol price being expensive. So I’m going to perform a realistic calculation for a typical household.

4 Kids, School and Bus fare - RM 2 (allowance) x 4 x 20 days = RM160 + RM80
Groceries and Toiletries - RM 1,000 per month
House loan (semi detached house) - RM 1,200
Car Installment (Proton Saga would do) - RM 400
Utility bills (electric & water) - RM 200
Internet Bill - RM 60
Astro (every family needs one) - RM 80
Others (as back up money) - RM 300

It totals to RM 3,480 a month, that is excluding petrol. I’m assuming that the price would rise by 10%, our fuel price will then be RM2.11 (RM1.92 presently). It’s a BLOODY RM2.70 by 5th of JUNE. It’s time to tighten our belts and embrace the stupidity of our Prime Minister.

So you see, it’s tough on the rakyat to survive in this century.

Small & medium Businesses are doomed to fail. Especially those rely heavily on logistics and machinery.

With the world’s fuel price increase, I’m sure Petronas or Sime Darby could channel some of it’s profit to fund alternatives to fuel (hydrogen, hybrid, bio-fuel).

ps: Those who voted for BN, this is exactly what you’re yearning for, a PRICE HIKE! Good luck in your future undertaking and raising that unborn child of yours.

Heh. :eek: But nothing can be done as the Indonesian government had already decided to increase the petrol price. Well, it’s not only about petrol itself. Harga barang semua pun dah naik. Nak makan pun dah mahal. Pegi uni naik van pun mahal. So, I have to walk instead. :cry: RM1000 a month is definitely not enough to survive in Jakarta. :mad: Central Jakarta plak tu. :cry:

Noktahhitam, Truly said. Those who voted for Barisan Nasional has no right to complain. After all, they asked for it. How nice it is when your prayers get answered!! just like those who voted BN….

However, the same goes for those who did not bother to exercise their rights to vote on 8th March. They did not stand up for what they believe in. This is because if they did not participate in the process of selecting who will legislate and administer the country on their behalf, they have given up their rights to criticize the manner on how they will subsequently govern them.

erm I don’t know how come Prime Minister can directly increase the fuel price instantly. According to Lim Kit Siang’s blog, fuel price increase doesn’t seek approval from parliament. Does all the matters including oil prices need to seek approval from parliament?
If yes, then our prime minister really……. make his name smelled =.= I have no idea how we going to survive few more months later

FYI,

The price should be increased so long ago. The goverment was right to increase the price. But the method used is very much questionable.

First of all, the price should have increased slowly and should have started so long ago, even during the tenure of Tun Dr. Mahathir. But now when the goverment is damn desperate since its treasury is drying up, the decided to just increase it up just like that.

Second is, why must they announce it afew hours before the changes to take place? This will seriously cause a huge chaoes. And yes it did…

I’ve heard lots of people crying for not being ready to the shocking news. Malaysian gets sick of the current gov. 41% increment is not a small amount! for normal people who normally spend RM250 for petrol a month, will now have to increase the budget to RM350, not including other stuff which will increase as well!

aper yang dia nk cerita ssgt pasal subsidi? pundek..nk blaja kena bayar..sakit kena bayar..guna jalan kena bayar..tol pun kena bayar…memang pundek…pau la orang2 kaya..pau la duit allowance yb2 yang ade..ko paklah..bukan kerja sangat pon..bukan pk rakyat sgt pun..potong la gaji ko tu paklah..jimat skit..takyah aku bayar cukai..ko jugak yang makan..ko tu pun paklah pundek..bukan bayar minyak+tol+cukai jalan pun..apepun yang paklah guna dan hidup sekarang hasil duit rakyat..

aper yang dia sebuk bandingkan sgt dgn harga minyak jiran2 kita..pau la orang singapore + siam tuh kaw2… dah la masuk negara aku.. kerek plak.. macam pundek.. paklah pundek!!
