Daulat Tuanku!

daulat_tuanku.jpg

Happy Birthday To You,
Happy Birthday To You,
Happy Birthday To, DYMM Tuanku Mizan,
Happy Birthday To You.

9 Years ago, my fellow schoolmates and I had the audacity to be bestowed for our excellency in PMR 98 (8A’s). I was a little more fortunate (*bragging*), later in that evening, we also had our annual Sports Day. Tuanku Mizan presented me 3 medals, 100m, 200m and 4 x 100m.

“Muke awak lagi,” Tuanku said. I wasn’t very sure of the customary, so I grinned to keep things simple. After all, I was standing on the podium (at least 2 feet higher than him).

ps: I still have that picture, but I’m not sure where I kept it

Yeah, you’re quite lucky. I only had Sultanah (Kedah) presented me my PMR certificate 6 years ago. :)

Nope, he’s not my senior.

Al-Marhum Sultan Sallehuddin (the one married to Aisyah) was. (I shared 2-3 minutes worth of conversation though  )

Wow that is a really unique experience! I’ve never been close to a political figurehead though… I missed the chance when my elementary school had this excursion to Pulau Langkawi 6 years back and it happened that our dear Dr Mahatir was at the Langkawi airport. And I didn’t went for the trip because of a nasty flu bug

Well I remembered bringing drinks during my elementary school’s sports day, when MP Chow Mei Fun was the guest of honour. I remembered her smiling at me when I passed her that packet of jasmine tea, heheh

It is! Worth every effort.

Anyway, our school invite Sultans, TYTs, Kings and Royal families on our big day. On many occasions, a heli landed on our school ground. And we are forbid to play on the field. But we did get a chance to hold the heli or a small tour by the air force office in charged.

TDM? Oh what a miss. If I had to choose between DSAI and TDM, it’d be DSAI (for obvious reasons).

Chow Mei Fun.. are you sure you spelled the name correctly? It sounded like a dish. Mei Fun = Meehoon.

Wooo~ That’s so cool!
I managed to shake hands with Raja Permaisuri Agong Tuanku Nur Zahirah when they both came to Jakarta for.. for.. I forgot what it was for actually. LOL. Tapi just a hand shake je la. Bukan dapat medal ke ape.

Oh yeah, when I was in SK Sultanah Asma, the Sultanah Kedah presented me the certificate for being the first in my class and I still keep the photo. Hehe.

It was royal visit. Indonesian president invited him over.

Jap, you and Fath (the above) are from the same school ke? BTW, pardon my negligence, but Sultanah tu ape?

Well, the photo is in a box. It’s only opened once a year on my bday eve. Something to remind me of what I was and how I can further improve myself before I start serving others.

LOL. Teruknya saya.. Haha. But I still remember the 100k that were given to everyone who came to the embassy. :$: In rupiah, of course.

Sultanah tu isteri Sultan. I’m not sure wether we were from the same school ke tak. My school would invite the Sultan and Sultanah for our every “Hari Ucapan & Penyampaian Hadiah”, I think? I was there for a year je.

Awww.. that’s sweet! You keep your things very neatly. Actually kan, I already forgot where I put that photo.

Apparently both of speak of Sultanah Kedah, you could be from the same school. (how many schools does the sultan visit? LoL). Im just trying to draw a line, if it connects, then it’d be awesome!
