Cuil - Bad Search Engine Name

I meant not to go crazy over new tech but I couldn’t resist this new engine published on TechCrunch, Amanz and SembangKomputer.

Cuil is dark-themed and have an interesting way of publishing search result, pretty much like an aggregator. Anyway, Cuil claimed to have indexed 120 Billion websites. Out of that billions, NH wasn’t even listed. How unfortunate.

A word of note: DONT EVER SPELL IT AS CULI.COM. Trust me, I’ve tried.

I’m sure Cuil’s server is frantically overheating by now (so is Culi.com). It’s screaming traffic and resource like a mad monkey! I guess it’s a problem every start up has.

ps: I’m happy to see at least someone is brave enough to compete with the giant Google

Nufflets, Is There a Problem? Whats Wrong?

Nufflets has been really slow since yesterday. It’s so slow, that it affects NoktahHitam as well.

How show I put this? Being a late comer in the Blogvertising (blog + advertising), I would expect that it would be the next big hit after Advertlets, Nuffnang and GrabMyAds, however they have proved me otherwise.

Why lah? Are you running on shared hosting? Single server? Can’t cater the bandwidth? Memory leak? Got hacked?

People at Nufflets, if you want to be in the game (before another company jumps the wagon), please keep your reputation to serve fellow bloggers. I sincerely hope this is just a minor hiccup. I look forward to serve your ads.

Just Some Stupid Ramblings.

Adsense on our community portal? Are you earning from us? Please share the income with others. -remarks by some dude.

As seen above, my all time Adsense is only USD6.06. That is very low. Why? Because I hate advertisement. In every website I make, I want to pour my whole heart out and not just some half-bake idea. To be frank, I gained nothing from the community portal. Anyway, I removed it. HAPPY?

I DON’T GET PAID to do all this chores. Do you really like to monitor the site every single day? Ensure that there’s no security breach? Spent a few sleepless night to ensure that the bugs are fixed? Use my own pocket money for everyones’ sake (domain and hosting)? Take out my own fun time just to fuck the website? Do you think I got no fucking life?

All the merchandise I made for the community, do you think I earned anything? Let’s not forget my phone bills? fuel? time? effort? professional fees? I even topped with my bloody money in some cases to make it affordable. Did I ever asked anything in return? Fuck it man. Just fuck it.

Sometimes when you have been relentlessly selfless, you deserve an acknowledgment or at least a pat on the back. What if I were to say, in my case non of those happened? You just had to complain behind my back, bitch about it, all my “hidden agendas” & shit. I do wonder from time to time, why am I doing all this fucking shit? Oh right, because no one else wants to do it! Anyway, I wont quit because a few stench remarks was made. This is democracy, MAJORITY RULES!

I’ll introduce to you a magic word which us Malaysians failed to comprehend, EMPATHY. link to wikipedia. Read and practice, be the better person, if not for the nation, religion, or even yourself, do it for you kids.

I am a frequent user of Maybank2u ever since 2001 when I first got my current account. I use Maybank2u to pay everything from car loan, house loan, bills, transfer money and sometimes top-up for others (don’t ask who).

But there are things I hate about Maybank2u.

• Old design, since 2001.
• Prepaid top up (mobile phone) will be given a code
• TAC number delay, sometimes the next day
• Bill Registration
• Poor navigation, will only confuse others.
• Poor graphic and coding
• The use of iFrame
• The HTTP 300 Error
• Search feature, non existent.
• Maybank.com
• Location of the Branch
