I Was a Teacher’s Pet

Last weekend was my second visit to Kuala Kangsar for the LaPassion Project. I met a few teacher throughout the 2 days training, on and off the field. As for the boys, they’re coping with the training easily. It was either fit or I was being easy on them. The U15s are doing quite well. I can see some unpolished gems on the field. Really can’t wait for their first cap.

Anyway, this post is not about the boys, it’s about my trip to my alma matter, The Malay College. It’s quiet a surprise that most the teachers still remember me, I’d have to thank my ‘English’ name for that. (more…)

Happy Birthday the Banker

I’m exaggerating here. but I’m not kidding about the first 3.

This dude was my deskmate in form 4 and later in form 5 (English class, Set A). We argued every single day. The two most agonizing topics were physics and add maths. We also find ways to bring each other down (talk about being Malays!). But out of that rivalry, we found true friendship and made irreplaceable memories together.

Defensive and Emotionless

As quoted by AngelicSinner, I have lost my touch and flare in writing as compared to my previous blog. I know, I am being all defensive and trying to play safe at NoktahHitam.

Here’s the story. I like to study my traffic, incoming, outgoing, clicks etc. Weeks ago, a peculiar domain came up and has been directing traffic to NoktahHitam ever since. Curious by nature, I visited their web. It’s my uncles’ (my dads’ friends, MCKK, Class of 74)!

A good guy or a bad guy? I don’t really care what people make of me. Life is too short to listen to critics. I want to be transparent again (at least make you believe I am).

PS: No wonder dad came to know of my secret project.
PSS: Uncles, don’t delete my blog from your website. Parents need to listen too.
PSSS: In! I know now the difference between ed-ku and NoktahHitam. yay~

Me, MCOBA.org and MCOBA ICT

Last Friday I attended a MCOBA ICT meeting. We were tasked to complete MCOBA.org. Then came the long debate of Joomla vs Drupal. It’s not an easy decision. Having used both platform for my previous web projects, both shines in their own special way. Joomla is a plug and play but can be very frustrating at times. Drupal is for hardcore developer but we have very little time to develop the site.

As the discussion progresses, we know we were heading no where. Camus, the head of MCOBA ICT suggested we should wrap up and just leave the decision to me. Everyone agreed. I am now officially part of the MCOBA ICT Committee. Ehh… wait a minute, I went to the meeting just to spur some ideas, not join to you guys geeks! Anyway, as the appointed Leader for the MCOBA.org project, I hope team members can give their utmost cooperation in developing the site. (Who said I hate power?)

I guess Camus and other senior MCOBA ICT are too tied up with work. They’ve done so much, I guess its about time to pass the baton and let others carry it. I won’t let you down. (MCOBA.org, will be a good portfolio don’t you think?)

Now I really need to compose myself really well. I have a lot of things to shuffle, work, coaching, paperwork for new business, batch, personal projects, mcoba ict & personal fitness. Thank God I don’t have any girl to give me headaches. Phewww.

Just Some Stupid Ramblings.

Adsense on our community portal? Are you earning from us? Please share the income with others. -remarks by some dude.

As seen above, my all time Adsense is only USD6.06. That is very low. Why? Because I hate advertisement. In every website I make, I want to pour my whole heart out and not just some half-bake idea. To be frank, I gained nothing from the community portal. Anyway, I removed it. HAPPY?

I DON’T GET PAID to do all this chores. Do you really like to monitor the site every single day? Ensure that there’s no security breach? Spent a few sleepless night to ensure that the bugs are fixed? Use my own pocket money for everyones’ sake (domain and hosting)? Take out my own fun time just to fuck the website? Do you think I got no fucking life?

All the merchandise I made for the community, do you think I earned anything? Let’s not forget my phone bills? fuel? time? effort? professional fees? I even topped with my bloody money in some cases to make it affordable. Did I ever asked anything in return? Fuck it man. Just fuck it.

Sometimes when you have been relentlessly selfless, you deserve an acknowledgment or at least a pat on the back. What if I were to say, in my case non of those happened? You just had to complain behind my back, bitch about it, all my “hidden agendas” & shit. I do wonder from time to time, why am I doing all this fucking shit? Oh right, because no one else wants to do it! Anyway, I wont quit because a few stench remarks was made. This is democracy, MAJORITY RULES!

I’ll introduce to you a magic word which us Malaysians failed to comprehend, EMPATHY. link to wikipedia. Read and practice, be the better person, if not for the nation, religion, or even yourself, do it for you kids.

Kisah Seram Order Tengah Malam

Kisah ini berlaku ketika aku menuntut di sekolah berasmara berasrama penuh pada tahun 2000.

Aku seperti biasa, tidaklah nakal, tidaklah baik sgt, orang selalu menggelarkan aku, “eddie gile”. Dalam kegilaan aku, aku tetap study sampai pukul 3 pagi tiap2 hari (dan bgn 630pg eh). Berpakaian shorts sahaja, aku sering ditegur oleh warden2 yg buat rounding, mahu pujian ataupun desakan menyuruhku tido, aku berkeras tiap hari utk menyekang mata, tekad utk belajar dan berjaya dalam SPM.

Pada suatu malam, aku berasa sangat lapar kerana skip makan malam dining hall. Aku membuat pencatuan bersama kawan2 se-dorm. Aku cuma perlu cari 5 order untuk dapatkan percuma satu. Aku target yg percuma je. Setelah dikutip order, aku membuat placing order di pondok telepon berhampiran. Ok, amek kol 245am, kata che nah, kedai makan tepi station keretapi.

Tepat pukul 240am, aku pergi mengejutkan member ku, Kenet untuk menemaniku ambil order melalui kawasan gelap belakang sekolah. Kenet bangun sambil mengosok mata, seraya berkata, kejap aku gi toilet jap. Kerana sifat malas, aku melompat keluar tingkap menghala ke rendezvous point berseorangan sambil menggaru perut yg lapar.
