To those who may have missed the news headlines, here’s some F* up story.
Police rogol budak sekolah. This is sick. Polis Di Raja Malaysia or Polis Raja di Malaysia?
Jamil Abdul Sah, 27, didakwa merogol gadis berusia 17 tahun itu di bilik maklumat, balai berkenaan antara jam 6 dan 7 pagi, 18 Jun 2008. -MalaysiaKini
Jamil is reportedly the only earner in the family. If he is put to jail for 20 years, who’d feed his wife and two kids? He should have thought of that before raping anyone. Bodoh.
Now, the big question, who else can we trust?
- The Gov - With Pak Lah’s flip flop decisions and mismanagement of cabinet, denials and more denials, No.
- The Police - Grand Saga case, Anwar’s Black eyed or simply, Polis Raja Di Malaysia. No.
- The Court - Fixed decisions, appointments & always in favor of Gov. No.
- Lawyers - More of law benders if you ask me. Partially, but comes with a heavy price tag.
- Mufti and Father - For a loaf of bread and a bowl of stew, yes. Yes, can be trusted, but can’t help much.
- Batman - He only deals with High Profile Villain like Botak Chin & Kalimuthu. No.
Which reminds me of a Malay saying of which I’ve never used, ‘Harapkan pagar, pagar makan padi‘.
Can you trust the police? Let me know what you think.

CONFIRMED
RM 2.70 PER LITER
In today’s News, Datuk Shahrir Abdul Samad announced that the government will increase the price of fuel by August. He also said that they will restructure the subsidy. (Babi penipu!)
KUALA LUMPUR: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi on Wednesday announced price hikes for petrol, diesel and electricity. He said the new price for petrol is RM2.70 a litre, effective midnight tonight. The price goes up by 78sen from the current RM1.92, a hike of 40%. Abdullah also announced that the price of diesel would be increased by RM1 from RM1.58 to RM2.58. He also said that Tenaga Nasional Bhd would be raising electricity rates by 18% for homes and 26% for business users. (the Star)
I wrote before on our petrol price being expensive. So I’m going to perform a realistic calculation for a typical household. (more…)

It was late (or early in the morning), I made a quick stop to the nearest convenient store to get some refreshments before I mull into my never-ending work.
I paid and left the counter. A guy was about to come in, so I held the door for him. He walked in without thanking me, smiled or even looked at me. Gosh, do I look like an usher to him? A bell boy perhaps?
It’s part of gentleman-hood, to hold the door for others. Nobody will ever teach you this because it should already be imprinted at the back of your brain (provided you have any).
When I was doing my degree abroad, we had long halls and multiple doors to trap heat. Often I find myself running because there’s a lad at the end of the hall, holding the door for me and I was about 10-15 meters away. I ran because I don’t want to make him wait for me. And of course, later I expressed my gratitude for the kind gesture.
Have you noticed the word “Push” or “Pull” on the door? And why it’s always both signs on one side?
- So you don’t slam the door to someone’s face
- So you have bigger space to walk in and out
- So you don’t end up pushing (or pulling) from both sides
- So you don’t break the door
So please, when ever you’re at the door, always hold it for someone else even if you have to wait for 2-3 seconds. You don’t have to be a Caucasian to hold the door. Be courteous
ps: Negaraku is pacing itself very well on its’ 1st week!
pss: When I say “hold the door”, it doesn’t only translate to physical stuff. Also applies various parts of your life, e.g. The door to your heart, the door to greater success, the door of wisdom etc. So think about it.
Sorry, you won’t find any pictures of Zarina Ann JulieĀ here. Unless, you’re good with cache.
In all honesty, why are we making so much fuss?

The other day I was having lunch alone. A girl slipped and fell between the tables.
Everyone on the floor turned their head. From the far corner of the shop, I can hear tiny laughters echoing the air. The girl blushed, blaming herself for her clumsiness. Slowly, she picked up everything she dropped.
