Mr Azly Rahman, here’s something to tinker about.
لَكُمۡ دِينُكُمۡ وَلِىَ دِينِ
Your way is yours, and my way is mine. (al-Kafirun)
Nga Kor Ming used Quranic verse for his campaign speech.
Whilst it remained grey for non-believers to use Quranic verse, I strongly believe that if one were to use any part of the Quran, he/she has to accept the “kalimah syahadah” and must abide to the 6 Articles of Belief (rukun Iman).
- Belief in God (Allah), the one and only one worthy of all worship (tawhid).
- Belief in all the Prophets (nabi) and Messengers (rusul) sent by God
- Belief in the Angels (mala’ika).
- Belief in the Books (kutub) sent by God[citation needed] (including the Qur’an).
- Belief in the Day of Judgment (qiyama) and in the Resurrection (life after death).
- Belief in Destiny (Fate) (qadar).
If Nga doesn’t really in believe Islam, why use Quran at all? You can’t just favor one (of the above) and use it to preach. It’s detesting Islam and its’ believers. Islam is not an Agama Rojak (based on mix and match).
Like I’ve said many times. Don’t mix religion and politics. Besides, are we really that desperate to win the heart of voters?
ps: UMNO goons lodged a police report. Such a drastic approach. He’s not in-the-know and should just be warned.
pss: There’s a fine line between races (Malay, Chinese, India) but a very damn thick border when it comes to religion.

Have you ever woke up from a dream and when you try to resume, you’ll end up somewhere else? I’m sure you have. Yesterday I dreamed of something beyond my imagination (my imagination can run pretty wild you know).
I was in my late 20’s, standing in front a sea of people. I was giving a speech, a manifesto asking people to vote for me. Yes, I became what I hated most, a politician.
The party I stood for was called, Green Party (Parti Hijau), the logo was a leaf. (more…)

In case you missed, yes, Nizar did became the imam at BN’s event. Here’s some excerpt.
Pimpinan UMNO berada disaf pertama. read the rest
I respect Nizar and still do. However, I disagree with him being proud of his piousness. It doesn’t matter who’s the Imam, at the end of the day, we (muslim) hope our prayers were heard and accepted. Not to mention the 27 deeds (pahala) that comes with it.
Throughout his post, Nizar was sarcastic (discreetly). It’s fine by me if he leaves religion untouched. Unfortunately, that became his forte. (more…)
I’ve wrote before about Chua Soi Lek, admitting taking responsibility in his adultery case.
Elizabeth Wong is different. Her photos were circulated in a flash (though I have yet to source them, I don’t think a 37 year old would be that alluring). The nude picture was taken in the comfort of her own home, while sleeping.
I read around, BN supporters are pressuring her to quit.
Truth is, this is no where near Chua Soi Lek’s scandalous affair. CSL is married and banged his partner in a hotel, Elizabeth did neither. I don’t see any crime here.
So what if she sleeps nude? She’s not a Muslim succumbed by Islamic law. For all I know, we all shower naked, unless you’re a mundane-insanely-wanita-terakhir-mandi-berkemban type of person, which I doubt.
Is it immoral to sleep nude?
If I were in her position, I’d stand tall, since people has seen me inside out. But Elizabeth is an Asian woman, shy and good willed, she can’t sweep her shame under the rug, what more speaks in front of perverts.
It’s just sad to see lowlife politicians play this kind of trickery to bring down others. I could only dream this is the samurai age. I don’t like you, you don’t like me, we duel to death! (Which ended with me pulling a gun from my nut sack.)
To Elizabeth, I wish you best of luck, whichever option you choose.
ps: Good people being shot down like stray dogs. Well, this is Malaysia, anything is possible. Malaysia Boleh!

If you haven’t filled up your car at the nearest station, you should. Because you’ll be dancing and shaking your bonbons. The current market price as of 3rd December 2008 is RM 1.90 per liter. Below the initial price of RM 1.92.
However we missed out on the Petrol Rebate which can STILL be collected at your local post office. No one would say no to RM600.
If the government decides to put a brake on this, what’ll happens to the December road tax renewals? Should the government decline their rights to collect the rebate? Oh my, what a tight situation we have here. (more…)
First and foremost, I’d like to pay utmost respect to Obama on winning the presidency seat. (So which desk did you pick?)

We’ve heard and read so many stories about him, online or offline. Me? I couldn’t care less about his campaign. Politicians, they all echo the same thing, Change. It’s the marketing strategy that grants you the upper hand. Obama went super viral.
Few days ago, I had a small teh tarik session. The topic varies from politics to jokes. One of the thing that pulls my attention was this statement.
Obama is the first black president, why can’t Malaysia have a non bumi PM?
