Nasib Baik Tak Baik

Amira has this habit of sighing (in relief) when something was about to break but it didn’t. She went like this,

“Nasib baik tak baik”.

Totally hilarious when she does it. And sometime, she would correct herself.

“nasib baik, … baik”.

What she meant to say was, “nasib baik tak jatuh” or “tak pecah”.

Two days back, she was playing beyblade with me and said,

“Siapa menang, dia kalah”. And she won, which made her the loser. We played for 4-5 rounds, she won all the rounds. She got up and screamed at me, I don’t want to play with you. You keep winning! And walked out the room.

Here I am, dumbfounded. What a kid.

No Internet Day, How Kids Reacted

Every morning when the kids got up, they’d want to watch cartoons on the TV. Either from Youtube – Steve and Maggie, Ryan Toys Review or Princess Nela. Unfortunately the internet was down for today, because we forgot to make payment.

Sara – Ferdinand!

Amira – Coco!

Ferdinand! Coco! Ferdinand! Coco!.. They were bickering what to watch.

“How about we watch Frozen?”

“Ok abah”, the two girls replied.

TV is really not the best option to allow kids to watch unsupervised. But in my experience, it’s much better than giving them mobile device.

Amira on Learning English

Amira has started to converse in English now. Though very basic, but it’s a good step up for her.

She learned mostly from the Youtube Channel, Steve & Maggie, Wow English TV. Sara also learned English through Youtube. (Thank God for Smart TV)

So I asked her.

Abah: Amira, what am I wearing.

Amira heard the first time and squinted her eye. With full confidence, she replied.

Amira: My name is Amiyaaa.. *giggle*

She giggled because she thinks she got it right. So I asked again.

Abah: What color is my tshirt?

Confident again.

Amira: My name is Amiyaaaa *angry face*

I think she’s annoyed I’m asking the same question. Haih..
