Download MP3s and Other Craps at Filez.com

Long ago I use multiply.com to download my juice of mp3s. Sadly, they have restricted the search for mp3s on their social network site. You can still download these files, provided you are very determined (to go page by page).

I’m very picky when it comes to sound quality. Mp3s come in many versions, radio edit, low frequency (Hz), poor quality, naming discrepancy etc. I usually download one whole album. This way I can ensure that these songs are properly ripped and uniformed.

I do not support the act of piracy, however, by listening to these mp3 over and over, I am given the chance to love or hate their music. I’ll buy their CD to show my support (mind you, some are still wrapped in plastic!).

To cater for my ever music hunger, I do my download at filez.com. You will be asked to search for anything and will be given a link to rapidshare to download the file. Filez.com is not only limited to mp3, you can find videos, softwares and ebook. You can even find Dr. Chua’s act of Paris Hilton (seriously!). Another alternative is to use beemp3.com, but the sound is terrible!

A word of warning, filez.com have explicits ads on their site (by explicit, I mean NUDE). Be sure not to access when your mom is watching over your shoulder (that includes your brothers, sisters, uncles, cousins… you get what I mean). You don’t want them to think you’re curious about pornography (get out of the shades already!).

PS: I visited the birth place of MP3 when I was in Germany at Fraunhofer. Very cool facility. There was also a development on 3D sound system and the wireless football (which was supposed to be used in WC 2006). Also the birth place for Digital Radio.

Defensive and Emotionless

As quoted by AngelicSinner, I have lost my touch and flare in writing as compared to my previous blog. I know, I am being all defensive and trying to play safe at NoktahHitam.

Here’s the story. I like to study my traffic, incoming, outgoing, clicks etc. Weeks ago, a peculiar domain came up and has been directing traffic to NoktahHitam ever since. Curious by nature, I visited their web. It’s my uncles’ (my dads’ friends, MCKK, Class of 74)!

A good guy or a bad guy? I don’t really care what people make of me. Life is too short to listen to critics. I want to be transparent again (at least make you believe I am).

PS: No wonder dad came to know of my secret project.
PSS: Uncles, don’t delete my blog from your website. Parents need to listen too.

Maybank - Stop It, It’s Not Funny

Maybank froze my account!

I have to admit, it was my fault. I was late to pay my credit card bill (by a few days). Now my account is blocked, I can’t use my ATM card, I can’t withdraw any money, how am I supposed to pay the amount I owe Maybank? Are they going to forfeit my money as well(subsequently my batch’s money, it’s quite a lot you know). They should at least give me a ring before freezing my account. Talk about bad ethic.

Should I call the CEO or COO? I don’t think this is the time to call for favors. Once I get this sorted, I will change to other local bank. By the way, your Maybank - Myzone is ugly like hell.

Me, MCOBA.org and MCOBA ICT

Last Friday I attended a MCOBA ICT meeting. We were tasked to complete MCOBA.org. Then came the long debate of Joomla vs Drupal. It’s not an easy decision. Having used both platform for my previous web projects, both shines in their own special way. Joomla is a plug and play but can be very frustrating at times. Drupal is for hardcore developer but we have very little time to develop the site.

As the discussion progresses, we know we were heading no where. Camus, the head of MCOBA ICT suggested we should wrap up and just leave the decision to me. Everyone agreed. I am now officially part of the MCOBA ICT Committee. Ehh… wait a minute, I went to the meeting just to spur some ideas, not join to you guys geeks! Anyway, as the appointed Leader for the MCOBA.org project, I hope team members can give their utmost cooperation in developing the site. (Who said I hate power?)

I guess Camus and other senior MCOBA ICT are too tied up with work. They’ve done so much, I guess its about time to pass the baton and let others carry it. I won’t let you down. (MCOBA.org, will be a good portfolio don’t you think?)

Nufflets, Is There a Problem? Whats Wrong?

Nufflets has been really slow since yesterday. It’s so slow, that it affects NoktahHitam as well.

How show I put this? Being a late comer in the Blogvertising (blog + advertising), I would expect that it would be the next big hit after Advertlets, Nuffnang and GrabMyAds, however they have proved me otherwise.

Why lah? Are you running on shared hosting? Single server? Can’t cater the bandwidth? Memory leak? Got hacked?

People at Nufflets, if you want to be in the game (before another company jumps the wagon), please keep your reputation to serve fellow bloggers. I sincerely hope this is just a minor hiccup. I look forward to serve your ads.
